WHAT IS A LINE?// Design Dev 4

I have this photo which gives the feeling of endless rock that climbers must feel when they are on El Capitan. I have read articles where climbers have likened it to being out at sea in an ocean of granite so I decided to take this romantic vision and turn it into a DPS.

Using the same super basic grid as before I added the text to the giant image. The title sits on top covering 3/4 of the pages width. I like all of the blank space which has been filled with the image here. This is a step away from the rest of the magazine so far but I thought that for one centrepiece page things should be different. The next and final DPS can then be more subdued again. The tall skinny title text (called Abraham Lincoln) reflects the shadows that the rock-face creates. Rockwell also fits the smart Americana style of the zine also.

Although the image is huge I do worry if it will be a high enough resolution to print well. I was worried at first but I plan on sending this to print on newsprint so hopefully the resolution will be lost to the low quality paper anyway...
