THE WALL// Making Poster

Making the Poster
Making the poster from the idesign document was very challenging. Basically it involved fitting 7 sheets of paper together with only millimetres of leeway. I had cut these out on the laser cutter earlier from 7 separate illustrator files. In one of the images above you can see how I have had to use my plan to arrange the right colours in the correct places. In the top right photography you can see an example of how all the colours are cut and layered to produce the multi-tonal design that appears when you place the white sheet over the top. I am happy with the way this design has turned out and it got a pretty good response from other people in the studio so that was great. I decided to mount the whole thing onto black card because the contrast with the white allows the whole design to jump out more. Each sheet is fitted with some double sided sticky tape, which made production all that much harder however the final result will be a much more sturdy poster overall.
