OUGD 401: How To "How to Deal With The Walk To College" Final Map Design

Here is the final design for the map. We added more handwritten descriptive text. The text has been labeled to correspond with the 'obstacles' that would be encountered on the walk into LCA.
This brief was a challenge for the group. Most of us had never really experimented with hand-drawn design before so we started the project way out of our comfort zone. However this was good because we really did experiment and i personally discovered many new techniques that could improve future work, for example techniques surrounding editing hand drawn images in Photoshop.
The major problem i find with the map is that it has absolutely no order or sensible composition. I think this problem arose when we slapped the route down on the screen without really thinking about how anything else will fit around it.
Saying this i do really love the content of the map, its fun to look at all the small details and read the descriptions, which are very appealing aspects. I just wish we had finished the content before starting the map so we could have worked out a proper composition which really would have improved the final outcome.
